Greetings Kentucky School Counselor Changemakers! 

My name is Heather Bushelman and I am honored and humbled to serve as your KSCA president this year.  The board and I are working diligently to ensure we are advocating and moving the school counselor profession forward through stakeholder input and equipping you with tools for your own advocacy.  Within the current climate of education, your voice is vital in continuing the surging efforts of the true school counseling role within Kentucky.  Our voices will be heard to ensure we are serving students based on evidence-based practices comprehensively for academics, college/career readiness, and social/emotional learning. 

We appreciate those of you who were able to attend the largest school counselor conference ever in Kentucky!  The board and I hope the variety of breakout sessions, sponsors, and inspiring keynote speakers encouraged and armed you with the tools to begin creating ripple effects within your schools, districts, and around our state and nation.  Throughout this year you can expect KSCA board updates, along with professional development and advocacy opportunities you can participate in to further your leadership and professionalism.  You are valued and appreciated!
